Hailed as one of the '100 Greatest Children’s Books of All Time' by the BBC, Malorie Blackman's bittersweet love story Noughts & Crosses has echoes of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. It is widely regarded as one of the 21st century's greatest novels.

Callum and Sephy are childhood friends but live on separate sides of a segregated world, and are forced to meet in secret on a secluded beach. But when Callum is accepted into Sephy's prestigious school he starts to hope that it might bring them closer together. But will society's prejudice get in the way, and drive them even further apart?

This brand-new production has been adapated for the stage by Dominic Cooke. It is recommended for children aged 14 and above, but parents should make their own judgement as to its suitability for their child.

About Regent's Park Open Air Theatre

The Open Air Theatre has a magical outdoor setting inside the heart of Regent's Park. The stage and all 1,300 seats are totally uncovered, so you need to prepare yourself for all types of weather - this is London after all! Performances are sometimes cancelled because of bad weather, but never before the advertised start time. They might also have to stop and re-start midway through if it starts raining.
