Following its successful run on Broadway, the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Shucked is coming to London to make its UK premiere at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.
This corn-fed, corn-bred musical tells the story of an unscrupulous con artist and a soon-to-be-wed couple who start fretting when their community's corn starts to die. The town needs answers quick. But will Maizy and Beau be brave enough to venture beyond the borders of Cob County?
They head for the big city of Tampa to enlist the help of 'corn doctor' Gordy, but very soon it's not just the crop that's under threat... but also the heart and soil of their small town!
Grammy Award-winning songwriters
The Grammy Award-winning songwriting team of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally have put together a feel-good score that includes the songs Woman of the World, Somebody Will and Independently Owned.
Shane McAnally has written an incredible 48 No.1 songs and is the most nominated songwriter of all-time at the Country Music Awards.
About Regent's Park Open Air Theatre

The Open Air Theatre has a magical outdoor setting inside the heart of Regent's Park. The stage and all 1,300 seats are totally uncovered, so you need to prepare yourself for all types of weather - this is London after all! Performances are sometimes cancelled because of bad weather, but never before the advertised start time. They might also have to stop and re-start midway through if it starts raining.
