Duncan Macmillan's critically-acclaimed comedy Every Brilliant Thing has become a worldwide hit, packing out the theatres in more than 80 different countries - and now it's coming to London for the very first time in a strictly limited run of just eight weeks.
Imagine that you're seven years old and your desperately unhappy mum is in hospital. Your dad just says that she's "done something stupid", so you start writing a list of everything that's brilliant in the world to try and cheer her up... like ice cream, and laughing so hard that milk shoots out of your nose. Then you leave it on her pillow and wait.
What starts out as a child's innocent attempt to ease their mum's depression continues to grow throughout their teenage years and adulthood, and eventually comes to hold a deep significance in their own life.
