Virtuoso pianist Warren Mailley-Smith will be giving an exhilarating performance of Rimsky-Korsakov's The Flight of the Bumblebee in the light of flickering candles, alongside a selection of other piano masterworks at St. Mary-le-Strand church.
The 18th-century church stands opposite Somerset House and is known as the 'Jewel in the Strand'. It was once surrounded by traffic but the area has recently been pedestrianised and turned into a peaceful sanctuary of gardens, trees and pavement cafes.
