Enjoy a piano recital by Simon Callaghan in the beautiful candlelit setting of St. Mary-le-Strand.

St. Mary's is an island church by Somerset House. The 18th-century 'Jewel in the Strand' was once surrounded by traffic but the area has recently been pedestrianised, making it a peaceful sanctuary with gardens, trees and pavement cafes.

Thanks to his successful career as a recording artist and appearances on BBC Radio 3 Simon Callaghan has developed a wide following and performs all over the UK, Europe, Asia and America.

Tonight's programme will include Robert Schumann's Arabeske, Kinderszenen and Carnaval.
