Vaisakhi is one of the most important dates in the Sikh and Hindu calendar. It marks the start of the new lunar year and the birth of their cultural identity.
Sikhs recognise the whole human race as one – regardless of faith, background or gender - and everybody is encouraged to come and enjoy their exciting line-up of musicians, dancers and spoken word performers.
They'll also be laying on some spiritual hymns (kirtan), martial arts demonstrations (Gatka), and traditional dhol drumming.
Trafalgar Square will be dotted with stalls selling Indian food and tea (langar), a display of Sikh art... and even a few turban tying classes by the Chardikala Turban Academy!
Covent Garden (you can walk it in 7 mins), Leicester Square (you can walk it in 4 mins) and Piccadilly Circus (you can walk it in 6 mins)
