The Design Museum will be hosting the first official retrospective on the writer, producer and film director Wes Anderson, tracing the evolution of his movies from his early experiments up to his Oscar-winning short film The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar.
From 1998's Rushmore and 2001's The Royal Tenenbaums to The Grand Budapest Hotel, each of his movies plunges the viewer into a meticulously crafted world populated with its own codes and motifs, and long-time fans will recognise many of the sets and designs that have come to define his work.
Curated in partnership with Wes Anderson himself, the exhibition will feature some of the original props and costumes from his movies - many of which have come straight his own personal collection - and provide behind-the-scenes insights into his film-making techniques.
