Founded by the conductor Ivor Setterfield in 1992, the Trafalgar Sinfonia quickly earned a reputation as one of the country's finest ensembles, performing regularly at international festivals and London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall and Royal Festival Hall.

The internationally respected conductor of baroque music Peter G Dyson founded the Belmont Ensemble back in the 1990s, and made it into one of the finest chamber orchestras in the UK with its fortnightly concerts at St. Martin-in-the-Fields.
