Tate Modern will be hosting the first major UK exhibition by American artist Mike Kelley.
From the late 1970s until his death in 2012 Kelley created a series of elaborate and imaginary worlds using everything from drawing, collage and found objects to performance and video, drawing on popular and underground culture, literature and philosophy, to explore how the roles we play are often influenced by the images we consume.
The exhibition will showcase some of his best pieces, including his breakthrough craft sculptures made out of textiles and plush toys, right up to his multi-media installations like Day Is Done.
