Fans of the TV show Midsomer Murders will enjoy this trip through some of England's prettiest villages to see where it's filmed.

You'll follow in the footsteps of DCI Barnaby, passing through the rolling hills and rural communities that have acted as backdrops to over 250 bloody crimes - proving that the countryside isn't as crime-free as people might think!

The tour includes locations from 20 different episodes, spread across the beautiful counties of Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

One of the main stops will be Wallingford, which fans will immediately recognise as DCI Barnaby's hometown of Causton. Regular viewers will easily recall the familiar streets and buildings... and maybe even a few of the locals who have worked as extras in the show.

Another highlight will be the Buckinghamshire village of Turville, which has not only appeared in Midsomer Murders, but also The Vicar of Dibley, Goodnight Mr Tom and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Other highlights include the Chilterns, Warbourough, Thame Town Hall and Mapledurham House, which the producers have used as multiple locations in many different episodes.

You’ll get off the bus a number of times to stretch your legs and take pictures of the charming village greens, thatched cottages, ancient churches, cosy little pubs and quant country shops.

And for those of you who haven't the show before (or maybe you've been dragged along by a partner!) the guide will play plenty of clips so you can bone up on the show before you arrive at each location. They'll also share lots of amusing stories and TV trivia as you travel from place to place.
