Tuck into a plate of fish and chips before heading out on an atmospheric Jack The Ripper tour with an expert Ripperologist.
For three months in 1888 the East End of London was gripped by fear as five women were brutally mutilated and murdered. Despite leaving numerous clues the killer was never caught.
Enjoy some fish and chips at Poppie's
Your evening will begin at Poppie's Restaurant in Hanbury Street - a proper British chippie that gives customers a taste of the old East End.
The restaurant is located in the same place where the Ripper fled after killing his fifth victim, making it the perfect place to begin your grisly evening. The walls are adorned with pictures of the suspects, and you can even see the spot where he dropped a blood-soaked strip of the victim's apron.
Note: The price includes a plate of fish and chips but not drinks, side orders or desserts.
Jack the Ripper tour around Whitechapel
Starting outside Aldgate station, your guide will lead you through the streets of Whitechapel and into the heart of the East End, walking down the dark back-streets and cobblestone alleyways to explore the killer's murder sites.
Paul Mansfield has been investigating the case for twenty years and helped to make four different documentaries on it.
He'll tell you about each of the victims, share details of the police investigation, and show you photos of the crime scenes and local area as it appeared in Victorian times.
To this day the identity of the killer remains a complete mystery, but after divulging details about the suspects he'll attempt to identify one of history's most infamous murderers.
