It's quite a sight the first time you see it, sitting on top of a lushly wooded hill overlooking the Thames. Its medieval ramparts and Round Tower make it look like a real-life Camelot.

At around 11.30 AM you'll jump back onboard the coach for the drive to Salisbury Plain. Along the way your guide will share some of its history while you admire the beauty of the English countryside out of the window.

Stonehenge was built around 5,000 years ago and its true meaning has been lost to time. Was it a temple? A burial ground? Or a calendar to mark the positions of the sun?
