If you've only got one day in London then you won't have any time to waste... so how about a guided tour around some of the best landmarks and attractions?

Big Ben, Parliament & Westminster Abbey

After meeting your friendly guide by the Churchill statue in Parliament Square, and picking up some headphones so you'll have no trouble hearing her commentary, you'll take some photos of Big Ben and Parliament before entering Westminster Abbey (entry fee is included in the cost).

You'll then spend 90 minutes admiring the Coronation Chair, Poets Corner and the tombs of Isaac Newton and famous monarchs like Henry V and Elizabeth I.

Buckingham Palace & Changing the Guard

A short walk across St. James's Park will take you to Buckingham Palace to see the official residence of His Majesty King Charles III.

If Changing the Guard happens to be taking place that day (usually every Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun) then your guide will take you over to St. James's Palace to get a better view of the soldiers away from the crowds.

Horse Guards Parade & Trafalgar Square

If Changing the Guard isn't taking place then you'll see a similar ceremony on Horse Guards Parade instead, and stop to take some some photos of the Household Cavalry in their sentry boxes.

You'll then continue down Whitehall to Trafalgar Square to see Nelson's Column and grab some lunch.

Sightseeing cruise to Tower Bridge

Reconvening after lunch, your guide will take you on a sightseeing cruise down the Thames to Tower Bridge, complete with some amusing onboard commentary pointing out all the famous landmarks.

During the 30 minute ride you'll see sights like Shakespeare's Globe, St. Paul's Cathedral, HMS Belfast and The Shard.

Tower of London & The Crown Jewels

After disembarking at Tower Bridge you'll enter the Tower of London - the 1,000-year-old fortress built by William the Conqueror (entry fee is included in the cost), where you'll have plenty of time to explore historic sights like the White Tower, Traitor's Gate, Anne Boleyn's execution site on Tower Green, and the spectacular Crown Jewels.
