Starting outside the Bunch of Grapes pub, this 90-minute tour will take you round the shadowy world of medieval London.
London Bridge was once the scariest part of the city and its atmospheric environs are still considered one of the most haunted parts of town.

Your entertaining guide will share sinister tales about body snatchers waiting in the darkened alleys, the lawless thugs who stalked the streets, and the restless souls that still linger around England's oldest prison.

You'll pass by the site of a Tudor bear baiting pit, a forgotten graveyard and burial ground, and hear stories about the Bishop of Winchester's 'Geese' who used to provide adult entertainment in the local stew houses.

You'll see where they once performed agonising surgery without anaesthetic in the world's oldest operating theatre, and visit a 16th-century pub that's still home to a canine ghost, spectral sailors and Jack Sparrow.

Along the way you'll see some of London's most famous landmarks including Southwark Cathedral, Borough Market and The Shard, St. Paul's Cathedral and Tower Bridge, and discover what links Francis Drake's Golden Hinde with the Queen and the Devil.

Sue Can dogs join the walk?
Staff Hi Sue. We emailed them and got the following reply: "You are welcome to bring along your dog to tour as long as the dog is on a lead and doesn’t interrupt the tour or other guests on tour.".
