The Snowman is back at the Peacock Theatre for the Christmas holidays, based on the classic animated TV show and Raymond Briggs' best-selling picture book.

The magical adventure tells the story of a young boy who builds a snowman in his back yard and then watches it come to life on Christmas Eve.

They set off on a nighttime journey together, flying through the sky with the snowy planet and snow-laden pine trees far beneath them - with James still dressed in his pyjamas, slippers and dressing gown.

After meeting some friendly penguins and woodland creatures in a glistening winter wonderland, the Snowman introduces James to Father Christmas before taking him back home to bed.

What the theatre critics say...

Sunday Express: ★★★★ "Irresistible piece of nostalgia"; The Times: "Sheer theatrical magic. Go see The Snowman and melt"; The Independent: "The best kids show for Christmas by far!"; The Guardian: "Guaranteed to melt the heart of even the most cynical Scrooge"
