Your comments and questions
Cheryl Christie How easy is it to change from the Piccadilly Line and Jubilee line - do i just take the lifts? do i need to walk much or go up stairs or escalators?
Staff Hi Cheryl. It's possible to just use lifts on their own, but there is quite a lot of walking involved through long subway tunnels. If you don't mind using escalators instead then it's a much shorter route if you take the escalator straight up to the booking hall (don't go through the barrier) and then take another escalator back down to the jubilee line
Eliza Hi, I have a son in a wheelchair, who doesn't like lifts. We are coming from the jubilee line and will be exiting for the park itself. How many lifts do we need to take? Many thanks!!
Staff Hi Eliza. It’s going to be two lifts, one to the ticket hall and another to the exit. They’ve got escalators as well but you can do the whole thing by lift. One of the exits is right on the edge of the park itself
Imran Choudhury Why Thursday morning's victoria line from Walthamstow doesn't stop at green park station?
Staff Hi Imran. Where are you seeing that? We don’t have any information about that on Thursday
Imran Sorry tfl journey planner is showing to walk to green park station from Oxford circus in Victoria line from Walthamstow . Thank you.
Staff Hi Imran. I don’t know what time you’re travelling on Thursday but it’s coming up all right for 8 AM. (I think it’s just a bit confusing the way they write it - if you change your destination to Oxford Circus then it shows you have to walk there as well)
Kevan Wilding Not a question. I have been visiting Green Park to get to the Royal Brompton hospital, and I struggle to walk up stairs. The comment about using the lifts and having a long walk are very relevant, use the escalator if you are able. There is a bus stop outside, and buses are mostly accessible for at least one wheelchair, etc. This guide is rather excellent. Thank you.
Zoe I am a teacher and will be using your train station as part of our school trip. I was wondering if you have toliets avaible and if the children would be able to use them during our time in London?
Staff Hi Zoe. We’re not the station, we’re a London tourist site, but Green Park does have toilets. There is a map of all the stations with toilets here - content.tfl.gov.uk/toilets-map.pdf
Priscilla What time green Park Station running during weekdays
Staff Hi Priscilla. It depends what line you're using, and which direction you're travelling in. If you put your destination into the ‘tube journey planner’ dropdown above then it should give you the timetable
John Williams Hi, will green park to north greenwich be operating on Saturday night between 11.00 and 12.00 please?
Staff Hi John. Saturday is still affected by strike action and at the moment TFL are saying they might just run three trains an hour
Frederick Will all the stations on the Jubilee line be open on Saturday 25th June after 11.30 pm? If not do you know which ones will be closed. TFL site not very clear about this? Thank you
Staff Hi Frederick. Nobody can say for sure, but at the moment TFL are saying they are expecting to run a regular service on the Jubilee line between 7 PM and 6 AM, but only three trains an hour
Frederick Do you know when TFL might know which stations on the Jubilee line might be closed on Sat 25th July after 11.00 pm. As mentioned TFL very vague at the moment?
Staff Unfortunately not, no. Only TFL will know that. I'd imagine they'd have to look at staffing levels on the day.
John If I would like to go to Heathrow from Waterloo, i have to change a train from Jubilee line to Piccadilly like at Green Park, right ? How long and how far for changing the line ? I will have travel with luggages. Pls advise. Thank you.
Staff Hi John. We havent timed it, but its a very long walk between the platforms when using the lifts (you actually have to use two lifts). its a lot shorter if you can manage the two escalators instead
Maria Hi are there stairs at Green Park please? We will be coming from Stanmore on the Jubilee line? My daughter is recovering from a recent disability and doesn’t like the lift or escalators but would be OK with the stairs!
Staff Hi Maria. We’re not 100% sure about this, but you might be able to just use stairs if you dont mind a long walk. looking at the station map, we think you can walk from the jubilee line platforms to the piccadilly line platforms (via some stairs and a walk), and then head towards the Victoria line platforms but take some more stairs up to the exit before you get there. but its a very long walk. (its a lot quicker if she can manage lifts or escalators,)
Catherine Needham What time does green park open at on Sat
Staff Hi Catherine. The night tube runs all through Friday and Saturday night on the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria line
Avi Hi. We’ll come from Heathrow ( we want to avoid stairs)and want to take a taxi to teafalgar area. Is there taxi out of the station?thanks
Staff Hi Avi. There are always loads of taxis going down Piccadilly so you’ll be able to flag one down easy enough. (Trafalgar Square isn’t very far way, by the way. You can have a nice sightseeing walk past Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square in 15 mins)
Isi Hi. Is there a line that arrives to the station from Heathrow terminal 5? Thanks
Staff Hi Isi. Yes, that would be the Piccadilly line - londondrum.com/transport/train-journey.php?from=heathrow-terminal-5&to=green-park
Peter How easy to change from westbound Jubilee Line to westbound Piccadilly Line with luggage ?
Staff Hi Peter, like we said above there’s a long walk through subway tunnels if you want to use the lifts. it's a much shorter route if you take the escalator up to the booking hall and then another escalator back down to the jubilee line
Louise I am travelling with elderly relatives tomorrow and plan to take the Victoria Line southbound to Green Park. I can see from the above comments that there are 2 lifts to take us to street level. How much walking is involved to the first lift and at the interchange?
Staff Hi Louise. You'll have two use two lifts, one from the interchange passageway near the Victoria line platform to the ticket hall, and another from the ticket hall to the street. There is a fair walk to get to the lift in the interchange passageway. The way out is a lot shorter if they don't mind using the escalator
