For Oyster and contactless off-peak is outside the hours of 6.30 AM-9.30 AM and 4 PM-7 PM (Mon-Fri). For travelcards off-peak is any time after 9.30 AM (Mon-Fri). Weekends and public holidays are always classed as off-peak.

The price is based on what time your journey begins. It doesn’t matter when it ends.

Stairs, lifts and escalators

Chancery Lane is not wheelchair accessible

Entrance – You must two flights of stairs from the entrance to the booking hall (16 steps down +6 steps down from the Holborn southside and Chancery Lane entrances, or 16 steps down +10 steps down from the Gray’s Inn Road westside entrance, or 19 steps down +6 steps down from the Gray’s Inn Road eastside entrance). After that you must use an escalator down to the eastbound platform, or two escaltors down to the westbound platform

Exit – You must use an escalator from the eastbound platform to the booking hall, or two escaltors from the westbound platform. After that you must two flights of stairs from the booking hall to the exit (6 steps up +16 steps up to the Holborn southside and Chancery Lane exits, or 10 steps up +16 steps up to the Gray’s Inn Road westside exit, or 6 steps up +19 steps up to the Gray’s Inn Road eastside exit)
