Richmond has step-free access from the street to the platform (but there may be a step up or gap to the train). West Acton is not wheelchair accessible
Richmond entrance – You must use two flights of stairs between the Church Street/car park entrance and the booking hall (9 steps up +15 steps up), but it’s level from the Kew Road entrance. After that you need to use a lift to the platforms, or two flights of stairs (15 steps down +9 steps down to the District line and National Rail eastbound platforms, and 2x12 steps down to the National Rail westbound platform)
Changing trains at Turnham Green – You must use four flights of stairs when changing between the District/Piccadilly line platforms (2x19 steps up +2x19 steps down)
Changing trains at Ealing Broadway – Changing between the Central and District lines is on the level

Peak and off-peak times
For Oyster and contactless off-peak is outside the hours of 6.30 AM-9.30 AM and 4 PM-7 PM (Mon-Fri). For travelcards it’s any time after 9.30 AM (Mon-Fri). Weekends are always classed as off-peak.
The fare is based on what time your journey begins. It doesn’t matter when it ends.
Other ways to travel between Richmond and West Acton
Walking – Four miles on foot would take you around 75-85 minutes
By bus – A single ticket is £1.75 (you may need more than one bus). The daily cap is £5.25 and a 1-day travelcard is £6 – Bus fares
By taxi – The four mile ride should cost between £20 and £34 and take about 16-30 minutes
