Peak and off-peak times

For Oyster and contactless off-peak is outside the hours of 6.30 AM-9.30 AM and 4 PM-7 PM (Mon-Fri). For travelcards off-peak is any time after 9.30 AM (Mon-Fri). Weekends and public holidays are always classed as off-peak.

The price is based on what time your journey begins. It doesn’t matter when it ends.

Stairs, lifts and escalators

Richmond has step-free access from the street to the platform (but there may be a step up or gap to the train)

Entrance – You must use two flights of stairs between the Church Street/car park entrance and the booking hall (9 steps up +15 steps up), but it’s level from the Kew Road entrance. After that you need to use a lift to the platforms, or two flights of stairs (15 steps down +9 steps down to the District line and National Rail eastbound platforms, and 2x12 steps down to the National Rail westbound platform)

Exit – There’s a lift from the platforms to the booking hall, or two flights of stairs (9 steps up +15 steps up from the District line and National Rail eastbound platforms, and 2x12 steps up from the National Rail westbound platform). After that you must use two flights of stairs between the booking hall and the Church Street/car park exit (15 steps down +9 steps down), but it’s level to the Kew Road exit
