Stairs, lifts and escalators
Chancery Lane is not wheelchair accessible. The London Overground at West Brompton has step-free access from the street to the platform, but there may be a step up or gap to the train. The District line is not wheelchair accessible
Chancery Lane entrance – You must two flights of stairs from the entrance to the booking hall (16 steps down +6 steps down from the Holborn southside and Chancery Lane entrances, or 16 steps down +10 steps down from the Gray’s Inn Road westside entrance, or 19 steps down +6 steps down from the Gray’s Inn Road eastside entrance). After that you must use an escalator down to the eastbound platform, or two escaltors down to the westbound platform
Changing trains at Holborn – You must use stairs when changing between the Central/Piccadilly line platforms
Changing trains at Earl’s Court – You can use a lift when changing platforms
West Brompton exit – There’s a lift between the London Overground/District eastbound platform and the exit, but you must use one flight of stairs from the District westbound platform (27 steps up)

Stairs, lifts and escalators
The London Overground at West Brompton has step-free access from the street to the platform, but there may be a step up or gap to the train. The District line is not wheelchair accessible. Chancery Lane is not wheelchair accessible
West Brompton entrance – There’s a lift between the entrance and the London Overground/District eastbound platform, but you must use one flight of stairs to the District westbound platform (27 steps down)
Changing trains at Earl’s Court – You can use a lift when changing platforms
Changing trains at Holborn – You must use stairs when changing between the Central/Piccadilly line platforms
Chancery Lane exit – You must use an escalator from the eastbound platform to the booking hall, or two escaltors from the westbound platform. After that you must two flights of stairs from the booking hall to the exit (6 steps up +16 steps up to the Holborn southside and Chancery Lane exits, or 10 steps up +16 steps up to the Gray’s Inn Road westside exit, or 6 steps up +19 steps up to the Gray’s Inn Road eastside exit)

The journey is in zones 1-2. The cheapest fare is £2.90 off-peak (£3.50 peak) when you pay by Oyster or contactless. There are no return tickets, you just pay the same as two singles

Peak and off-peak times
For Oyster and contactless off-peak is outside the hours of 6.30 AM-9.30 AM and 4 PM-7 PM (Mon-Fri). For travelcards it’s any time after 9.30 AM (Mon-Fri). Weekends are always classed as off-peak.
The fare is based on what time your journey begins. It doesn’t matter when it ends.

Walking – The distance is about 4¼ miles, so we don’t recommend walking
By bus – A single ticket is £1.75 (you may need more than one bus). The daily cap is £5.25 and a 1-day travelcard is £6 – Bus fares
