Changing between the W&C line and any other platform involves a lift, an escalator plus a long travelator. You must use stairs when changing trains from the Northern line to any other platform

Chancery Lane station exit – You must use an escalator from the eastbound platform to the booking hall, or two escaltors from the westbound platform. After that you must two flights of stairs from the booking hall to the exit (6 steps up +16 steps up to the Holborn southside and Chancery Lane exits, or 10 steps up +16 steps up to the Gray’s Inn Road westside exit, or 6 steps up +19 steps up to the Gray’s Inn Road eastside exit)
