Two of Britain's best-loved pop/rock bands are joining forces for a series of epic showdowns at some of the country's biggest arenas.

Announcing the tour McFly said: "Busted challenged us to a Vs tour next year. They're old men now and we're gonna blow them and their carers off the stage!" Busted hit back: "This is where the talking ends - we're ready to show who's the better band once and for all!"

The 'Battle of the Bands' tour will kick off in Birmingham before heading to London, Cardiff, Leeds, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Dublin and Belfast. It then returns to London, Glasgow and Manchester and after 33 shows the whole thing will wrap up with a huge night in Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena.

Busted and McFly's chart history

Busted's debut single What I Go To School For kick-started a string of big hits including Year 3000, Air Hostess and Sleeping With The Light On, plus the No.1 singles Crashed The Wedding, Who's David, Thunderbirds Are Go and You Said No. Their four studio albums have sold over 4½ million copies and earned them two BRIT Awards.

During their 21-year career McFly have sold over 10 million records, seen seven of their albums enter the Top 10, and landed seven singles at No.1 including Obviously, Star Girl and All About You. Last year's Power To Play reached No.2 and gave us the standout singles God Of Rock & Roll and Where Did All The Guitars Go?
