Sean O'Casey's Irish masterpiece is coming to the West End for a strictly-limited 9-week run.

Set in 1920s Dublin during the Irish Civil War, the tragi-comic tale follows the beleaguered matriarch Juno Boyle, who's struggling to bring up her family in their tiny tenement flat.

She gets no help whatsoever from her husband Jack, who fancies himself a ship's commander but never sails further than the pub.

With only a mother's resilience to rely on, and using her sharp wit as a survival tool, she battles through life's most trying moments.

But then providence comes knocking with news of a huge inheritance... could this finally be the end of her family's troubles?

Starring Oscar winner Mark Rylance

Mark Rylance is one of the West End's biggest stars. During his illustrious career he's picked up three Olivier Awards, two Tonys and an Oscar, and been knighted for his services to theatre.

J Smith-Cameron is best known for her role as Gerri Kellman in TV's Succession, for which she earned herself two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
