Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York) is coming to the Criterion following a successful run at the Kiln Theatre.
Dougal is an incredibly upbeat, naively optimistic, and rather gullible Brit, on his way to America to attend his father's wedding - a father he's never actually met - whilst the bride's sister Robin is a native New Yorker waiting to greet him at the airport.
She doesn't have time to show him the sights because she's already late for work, but navigating the busy city during the biggest holiday period of the year isn't as straightforward as she hopes.
Is it love at first sight? Will they ever see eye-to-eye? Absolutely not! But with an extravagant wedding round the corner anything could happen.
Two Strangers is a comedy culture clash, one part "rom" and two parts "com", filled with laughter, romance, and unexpected twists and turns.
