When the Queen of rock'n'roll Janis Joplin released her debut album in 1967 her unmistakable voice made her a household name almost overnight.

She then delivered two legendary performances at the Monterey and Woodstock pop festivals before dying of a drug overdose just three years later.

A Night with Janis Joplin follows her musical journey with the Kozmic Blues Band, the Full Tilt Boogie Band, and Big Brother and the Holding Company, and celebrates some of the singers that inspired her including Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Nina Simone and Bessie Smith.

Nominated for a Tony Award on Broadway

During the show's critically-acclaimed run on Broadway Mary Bridget Davies earned herself a Tony Award nomination for 'Best Lead Actress'.
