On the 1st September every year Harry Potter fans gather together at King's Cross station to celebrate the start of new school year at the Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

It's been over a quarter of a century since Harry first caught his rain to Hogwarts, but thousands of cosplaying fans from all over the world still dress up as young witches and wizards to follow in his footsteps.

They congregate at the far end of the main hall outside the Harry Potter shop, where you'll find a trolley full of suitcases disappearing through the wall at Platform 9 3/4.

The station staff usually join in the fun by displaying the departure time for the Hogwarts Express on the big electronic board, and one lucky fan will be invited to count it down at 11 AM.

That will be followed by a raucous rendition of the Harry Potter theme tune (Hedwig's Theme) by John Williams.
