The Hampton Court Palace Festival is set against the backdrop of Tudor Base Court. The seated auditorium is an intimate little space within the walls of the palace itself, but still open to the air. There might be some undercover seats available at the time of booking.
If you arrive early then you'll be able to enjoy some pre-show food in the East Front Gardens (the gardens open from 5.30 PM, the show starts at 9 PM).
Tonight's show will feature pop star Rick Astley. He's sold an incredible 40 million records since his 1980s hey-day -- but 39 million of those were probably Never Gonna Give You Up! The song has led to a mini-renaissance in recent years, and has seen him play with everyone from A-Ha to the Foo Fighters.
