This 3-hour walking tour is a great way for first-time visitors to orientate themselves with the city, and its enthusiastic guide and small group size of 10-15 people makes it a fun and friendly way to spend a morning.
After meeting your group outside the world-famous Ritz Hotel (or Hyde Park Corner if you choose the 10 AM tour), you'll head through Green Park to the front of Buckingham Palace.
If you book the 10 AM tour on Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Sunday then you'll also get to see some of the red-jacketed soldiers in their bearskin hats marching towards the palace for Changing the Guard. (Make sure you've got your camera ready!)
You'll then walk down The Mall past St. James's Palace and the parade ground at Horse Guards to Parliament Square, where you'll be able to see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.
After taking some photos of the London Eye from across Westminster Bridge you'll head up Whitehall past the Cenotaph and the big black gate at Downing Street where the Prime Minister lives, and stop opposite Banqueting House to grab some selfies by the horse boxes.
You'll then enter Trafalgar Square to see Admiralty Arch, Nelson's Column, the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery.
Along the way your guide will be sharing lots of fun facts and history of the area, entertaining you with tales about famous characters, historical events and members of the Royal Family.
