For Oyster and contactless off-peak is outside the hours of 6.30 AM-9.30 AM and 4 PM-7 PM (Mon-Fri). For travelcards off-peak is any time after 9.30 AM (Mon-Fri). Weekends and public holidays are always classed as off-peak.

Stairs, lifts and escalators

Camden Town is not wheelchair accessible

Entrance – There’s a flight of stairs between the Kentish Town Road entrance and the booking hall (5 steps up), but it’s level from the Camden High Street entrance. After that you need to get an escalator down to the northbound platform, but an escalator and two flights of stairs down to the southbound platform (2x11 steps down). If you want to avoid the escalator then you can get another seven flights of stairs (21 steps down +14 steps down +10 steps down +3x17 steps down +11 steps down)

Exit – You need to get an escalator from the northbound platform to the booking hall, but an escalator and two flights of stairs from the southbound platform (2x11 steps up). If you want to avoid the escalator then you can get another seven flights of stairs (11 steps up +3x17 steps up +10 steps up +14 steps up +21 steps up). After that there’s another flight of stairs between the booking hall and the Kentish Town Road exit (5 steps down), but it’s level to the Camden High Street exit

Changing platforms – Changing between northbound services is on the level, but you need to use two flights of 11 steps to change between southbound services
