Your comments and questions
Patricia What tube line is Balham on? How do I get to Heathrow airport?
Staff Hi Patrica. Balham is on the Northern line, and you need to connect with the Piccadilly line to get to Heathrow, so you could change onto the Victoria line at Stockwell, and then change onto the Piccadilly line at Green Park - londondrum.com/transport/train-journey.php?from=balham&to=heathrow-terminals-1-2-3
MrsH I don't like travelling on the underground but apparently I will be close enough to Balham to travel from there, and I understand that National Rail trains from there will travel overground. Is that correct? Where do those trains go, and what is the best stop for the centre of London?
Staff Hi MrsH. That is correct, the National Rail trains will be overground. They all go into London Victoria, which isn't exactly in the centre of town. So you will likely have to catch a bus from there, depending on where you're going. Here's a map showing where all the buses go from Victoria - tfl.gov.uk/cdn/static/cms/documents/bus-route-maps/victoria-a4-200223.pdf
MrsH Thank you for your help
