If you want to avoid the lifts then you can get four flights of stairs to the eastbound platform (2x16 steps up +16 steps down +14 steps down), or five flights of stairs to the westbound platform (2x16 steps up +2x16 steps down +8 steps down)
Changing trains at Canning Town – You must use a lift when changing between the DLR/Jubilee line platforms, apart from the Stratford, Beckton and Woolwich Arsenal branches of the DLR which have a lift plus escalator
Changing trains at Waterloo – You must use an escalator when changing trains from the Jubilee line platforms. You must use stairs when changing trains from the Bakerloo northbound platform, but there’s an escalator when changing trains from the Bakerloo southbound platform

Peak and off-peak times
For Oyster and contactless off-peak is outside the hours of 6.30 AM-9.30 AM and 4 PM-7 PM (Mon-Fri). For travelcards it’s any time after 9.30 AM (Mon-Fri). Weekends are always classed as off-peak.
The fare is based on what time your journey begins. It doesn’t matter when it ends.
Alternative ways to travel
