Stairs, lifts and escalators
Knightsbridge is not wheelchair accessible. Mansion House is not wheelchair accessible
Knightsbridge entrance – There are two flights of stairs between the Knightsbridge northside entrance and the booking hall (21 steps down +8 steps down), or three flights of stairs from the Knightsbridge southside entrance (4 steps down +18 steps down +4 steps down), Sloane Street/Brompton Road eastside entrance (6 steps down +13 steps down +7 steps down) and Brompton Road westside entrance (15 steps down +5 steps down +4 steps down). After that there’s another escalator and one flight of stairs down to the platforms (20 steps down). If you want to avoid the escalator then you can use another six flights of stairs (3 steps down +4x17 steps down +16 steps down)
Changing trains at South Kensington – Changing between the Circle and District lines is on the same platform, but you must use stairs when changing between the Circle/District lines and Piccadilly line
Mansion House exit – You must two flights of stairs from the westbound platform to the booking hall (17 steps up +6 steps up), or three flights from the eastbound platform (12 steps up +11 steps up +21 steps up). After that you must use two flights of stairs to the Garlick Hill entrance (15 steps up +9 steps up), or two flights to the Queen Victoria Street westside exit (15 steps up +9 steps up), or two flights to the Queen Victoria Street/Cannon Street northside exit (4 steps up +20 steps up), or three flights to the Queen Victoria Street/Cannon Street southside exit (4 steps up +12 steps up +7 steps up), or three flights to the Bow Lane exit (4 steps up +12 steps up +13 steps up)

Stairs, lifts and escalators
Mansion House is not wheelchair accessible. Knightsbridge is not wheelchair accessible
Mansion House entrance – You must use two flights of stairs from the Garlick Hill entrance and the booking hall (9 steps down +15 steps down), or two flights from the Queen Victoria Street westside entrance (9 steps down +15 steps down), or two flights from the Queen Victoria Street/Cannon Street northside entrance (20 steps down +4 steps down), or three flights from the Queen Victoria Street/Cannon Street southside entrance (7 steps down +12 steps down +4 steps down), or three flights from the Bow Lane entrance (13 steps down +12 steps down +4 steps down). After that you must two flights of stairs down to the westbound platform (6 steps down +17 steps down), or three flights to the eastbound platform (21 steps down +11 steps down +12 steps down)
Changing trains at South Kensington – Changing between the Circle and District lines is on the same platform, but you must use stairs when changing between the Circle/District lines and Piccadilly line
Knightsbridge exit – There’s an escalator and one flight of stairs from the platforms to the booking hall (20 steps up). If you want to avoid the escalator then you can use six flights of stairs (16 steps up +4x17 steps up +3 steps up). After that there’s another two flights of stairs between the booking hall and the Knightsbridge northside exit (8 steps up +21 steps up), or three flights of stairs to the Knightsbridge southside exit (4 steps up +18 steps up +4 steps up), Sloane Street/Brompton Road eastside exit (7 steps up +13 steps up +6 steps up) and Brompton Road westside exit (4 steps up +5 steps up +15 steps up)

The journey is in zone 1. The cheapest fare is £2.80 off-peak (£2.90 peak) when you pay by Oyster or contactless. There are no return tickets, you just pay the same as two singles

Peak and off-peak times
For Oyster and contactless off-peak is outside the hours of 6.30 AM-9.30 AM and 4 PM-7 PM (Mon-Fri). For travelcards it’s any time after 9.30 AM (Mon-Fri). Weekends are always classed as off-peak.
The fare is based on what time your journey begins. It doesn’t matter when it ends.

Walking – The distance is about three miles on foot, which would take you around 57-63 minutes
By bus – A single ticket is £1.75 (you may need more than one bus). The daily cap is £5.25 and a 1-day travelcard is £6 – Bus fares
By taxi – A three mile ride should cost between £15.80 and £26.80 and take about 13-25 minutes
