If you want to avoid the escalator then you can use four flights of stairs (3 steps down +2x17 steps down +8 steps down). After that you can use an escalator down to the Victoria line and Bank branch of the Northern line platforms, or an escalator plus two flights of stairs to the Charing Cross branch of the Northern line (14 steps down +13 steps down)
Kennington station exit – You have to use one flight of stairs and a lift between the platforms and the exit (19 steps up). If you want to avoid the lift then you have to use another five flights of stairs (3 steps up +17 steps up +2x19 steps up +21 steps up)
