Cannon Street entrance – The entrance on Dowgate Hill to the booking hall is on the level, but there’s a flight of stairs from the Cannon Street entrance (11 steps down). After that you can use a lift from the booking hall to the westbound platform (or two flights of 10 steps down), but you’ll have to use stairs to the eastbound platform (2x12 steps down)
Changing trains at Mile End – Changing between the Central/District/H&C line is on the same platform if the trains are running in the same direction, but you must use stairs if they are running in the opposite direction
Leytonstone exit – You must use two flights of stairs between the platforms and the exit (2x15 steps down)

Changing trains at Liverpool Street – You can use a lift or escalator when changing between the Central line and National Rail platforms, or the Central line and the H&C eastbound platform. You can use a lift when changing between the H&C eastbound and National Rail platforms. But you must use stairs for all other platform changes
Cannon Street exit – There’s a lift from the westbound platform to the booking hall (or two flights of 10 steps up), but you’ll have to use stairs from the eastbound platform (2x12 steps up). Ater that you must use a flight of stairs to the Cannon Street exit (11 steps up), but the Dowgate Hill exit is on the level
