Get into the Christmas spirit with this adults-only after-hours event at the Natural History Museum. As well as having the a chance to see their current Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Birds: Brilliant & Bizarre exhibitions away from the day-time crowds, you can also walk around the galleries with a mince pie in your hand whilst listening to the seasonal sounds of a professional harpist.
Christmas card workshop & Christmas trail
The museum will also be laying on lots of wonderful wintery activities. How about seeing their big animatronic T Rex wearing a Christmas jumper? Or getting a team together to win a prize in a Christmas-themed trail?
You can also take part in some wild life drawing lessons, attend a create-your-own Christmas card workshop, and chat with the museum's real-life scientists while they're standing at their wintery science stations.
Christmas book swap
And seeing as it's the season of giving, they're also setting up a mystery Christmas book swap. If you'd like to take part then simply bring a book along that you're happy to give away, and at the end of the evening you'll be given a gift bag containing another book donated by someone else. I wonder what you'll get?
