Travel back in time 4,500 years and explore the Great Pyramid of Giza in a virtual reality expedition to Ancient Egypt.
Enter the Great Pyramid of Giza
Through the magic of virtual reality you'll be able to see one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World towering high above you - the Great Pyramid of Giza!
After crossing a golden expanse of sand and embarking on a mystical boat journey, your charismatic guide Mona will take you down forbidden corridors, inside the mysterious Queen's Chamber, and show you the final resting place of the Pharaoh Khufu.
You'll witness the funeral rites of an Egyptian king, decipher some hieroglyphics, and learn about the gods and goddesses of Ancient Egypt.
An immersive journey in a virtual reality world
After collecting your headset and battery backpack you'll give your avatar a fun explorer's name and then be transported to the Giza plateau as it appeared thousands of years ago.
Unlike a lot of virtual reality experiences, the Horizon of Khufu allows you to physically move and interact within a virtual reality space, walking around as if you were actually there. You'll even be able to see the other avatars of your group in the same environment!
Developed in collaboration with Harvard University's resident Egyptologist, Peter der Manuelian, the result is a visual spectacle with authentic insights into the customs, traditions and architecture of the time.
