Best known for The Riverboat Song and their debut album Moseley Shoals - when they used to hang around with rock royalty like Paul Weller and the Gallagher brothers - Ocean Colour Scene put out another couple of Top 5 albums during their Britpop heyday - Marchin' Already and One From The Modern.
Steve Cradock, Simon Fowler and Oscar Harrison have continued gigging right up to the present and will be setting off on a 22-date tour of the UK that takes in two nights at the Brixton Academy.
With ten albums behind them you can expect them to play a career-spanning set that includes songs like The Day We Caught The Train, The Circle, Hundred Mile High City, Traveller's Tune, Better Day and You've Got It Bad.
Support from Kula Shaker
Support for both of the shows will come from one of the more unusual Britpop bands - Kula Shaker. The psychedelic rock band had an interest in Indian music and scored some big hits with Hey Dude, Tattva, Govinda and Hush from their No.1 debut album K.
"We go way back with Ocean Colour Scene," they said. "Some of our earliest gigs were with them before Kula Shaker were even signed."
