Oxford Street - 5th November
This year Oxford Street will be partnering with Great Ormond Street Hospital's children's charity to hang over 5,000 stars up the entire length of the street.
The switch-on will take place on the 5th November, but there will also be a Big Day of Joy on the 7th December with lots of festive activities for the whole family to enjoy including street entertainers and live music performances.
Regent Street - 7th November
Regent Street has thankfully moved away from the lights that used to advertise the latest blockbuster movies, and returned to the more traditional white lights with giant angels floating over the road (known as the 'Spirits of Christmas').
Carnaby Street - 7th November
Carnaby Street's lights are always a bit eccentric and celebrate the fashion and music heritage of the street. Previous years have featured everything from Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody lyrics to Mick Jagger's big red lips. You can usually count on a few oversized robins, giant snowmen, spaceships and green palm trees as well. (We told you it was eccentric!)
This year's event will be called 'Into The Light' and will stretch along Carnaby Street and Foubert's Place to Ganton Street and Newburgh Street. Lots of shops and restaurants will join in the fun by offering live music, competitions, discounts and giveaways.
Covent Garden - 12th November
The 60-foot tall Christmas tree outside Covent Garden piazza is one of London's tallest, and almost rivals the giant one in Trafalgar Square.
This year they're going all out with 260,000 lights - that's more than double the amount they strung up last year. They'll also be hanging 40 gigantic bells with bows, 12 giant baubles and 8 spinning mirror balls inside the market hall.
Marylebone Village - 13th November
Marylebone Village will kick off their Christmas season with a big switch-on ceremony between 3 PM and 8 PM that will have food and gift stalls down the street, fairground rides, live music performances, and a big-name celebrity pressing the button.
The local retailers and restaurants will be joining in the fun by offering exclusive promotions, specially curated menus and extended opening hours.
Leadenhall Market - 14th November
We think Leadenhall Market looks quite Christmassy all year round with its marzipan yellows and wrapping paper reds, but it looks extra special come Christmas time when they switch on their tree.
The big switch-on ceremony from 5.30 PM will include a Christmas carol singalong followed by the Lord Mayor of London pressing the button to illuminate the arcade in a fountain of fireworks.
Bond Street - Date to be confimed
Bond Street is one of the poshest shopping streets in London and their Christmas lights are always a little bit special.
Previous years have seen them string up giant peacock feathers and 90,000 lights inspired by the Crown Jewels.
Trafalgar Square - 5th December
The Trafalgar Square Christmas tree is gifted to us by Norway every year to thank us for our help during World War II.
The big switch-on ceremony will take place on the 5th December at 6 PM, and will begin with some seasonal songs performed by the Salvation Army Band, followed by an hour of Christmas carols sung by a local London choir.
