Safety-first with experienced instructors

'Whistle Punk' is what they call rookie lumberjacks, and before you're let loose on the range an expert safety briefing will teach you the proper technique so you know the correct way to hold and throw an axe.

They'll also give you some tips about hitting a bullseye target and teach you a few trick shots, like throwing two axes at once.

The sessions always take place under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor and the axes can only be thrown down empty, enclosed lanes. The axes and flooring have also been designed to reduce unwanted bounces.

Be advised that you'll be required to wear closed-toe shoes (so no sandals or flip-flops). And it's a good idea to wear a shirt or top that allows the full range of motion for your arms.

Take part in an axe throwing competition!

The session will end with a fierce-but-friendly axe-throwing tournament where you'll get to compete with the rest of your group to see who's the king or queen of the night.

Over 18s only with valid ID

Guests must be over 18 with valid ID. Food, pizza and soft drinks will be available to buy on the night, but if you turn up drunk then you might be asked to stay a spectator for the rest of the session.
