The Royal Albert Hall's world-famous Proms season comes to a close with the spectacular Last Night of the Proms.
The usual mix of bombastic classics and flag-waving favourites will be present including Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance (of course), Parry's Jerusalem (naturally) and Arne's Rule Britannia -- it wouldn't be Last Night without those three!
Other pieces will include a world premiere of James Wilson's 1922, Wagner's Tannhäuser 'Dich, teure Halle', Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana and a rousing rendition of Auld Lang Syne.
The music will be performed by the BBC Singers, BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, and conductor Dalia Stasevska.
