The Hundred is an action-packed version of cricket with big name players from all over the world including the County Championship, Indian Premier League and Pakistan Super League. It runs for a month every summer and involves just eight teams with two squads each - men and women. The women's games are played in the afternoon and the men's games follow in the early evening.

The sides are limited to just 100 balls per innings and the bowlers are forced to switch after five or ten deliveries, so the teams pound away trying to score as many as possible before time runs out - especially during the opening 25 ball 'powerplay' when only two fielders are allowed to stand outside the fielding circle.

The competition has only been running since 2021 and the London Spirit men's side hasn't managed to win it yet. The closest they've got so far is 3rd place in 2022. But the women's side have had much more success, picking up the winner's trophy in 2024.
