The Hundred is an action-packed version of cricket with big name players from all over the world including the County Championship, Indian Premier League and Pakistan Super League. It runs for a month every summer and involves just eight teams with two squads each - men and women. The women's games are played in the afternoon and the men's games follow in the early evening.

The sides are limited to just 100 balls per innings and the bowlers are forced to switch after five or ten deliveries, so the teams pound away trying to score as many as possible before time runs out - especially during the opening 25 ball 'powerplay' when only two fielders are allowed to stand outside the fielding circle.
Oval Invincibles' home fixtures for 2025
The competition has only been running since 2021 but the Oval Invincibles have already picked up the men's title in 2023 and 2024 and the women's title in 2021 and 2022 (and runners-up in 2024), so they'll be going in to the 2025 season as one of the favourites.
9 Aug: Manchester Originals; 16 Aug: Welsh Fire; 21 Aug: Trent Rockets; 25 Aug: London Spirit; Oval Invincibles' away fixtures for the 2025 season are London Spirit (5 Aug), Birmingham Phoenix (12 Aug), Southern Brave (18 Aug) and Northern Superchargers (23 Aug).

The Kia Oval cricket ground
The Oval Invincibles play in the same stadium as country cricket side Surrey. It's the third largest cricket ground in the country and is famously dominated by a huge gasometer that stands less than 50 metres from the outer wall. The wrought-iron Victorian structure has been out of use for over a decade, but it's such a well-known landmark that it's been awarded Grade II listed status to protect it from demolition.
