Following its critically acclaimed run off-Broadway, Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors is coming to London for a strictly-limited run.
This gender-bending re-imagining of Bram Stoker's classic is a seriously silly makeover featuring just five cast members who switch their roles and costumes in the blink of an eye, bringing together goth, horror and camp in the spirit of RuPaul, Monty Python and Mel Brooks.
Jonathan Harker is an estate agent who's sent on a harrowing journey to the mountains of Transylvania to meet a mysterious new client... who turns out to be none other than a Gen Z pansexual Count Dracula in the midst of an existential crisis!
Being hunted by the vampire slayer Jean Van Helsing is just one of the Count's problems - it's when he sets his sights on Harker's brilliant fiance Lucy Westfeldt that he finds that he's truly met his match.
Along the way you'll meet a slew of other colorful characters like the insect connoisseur Renfield, and a behavioral psychiatrist whose country estate doubles as a free-range mental asylum.
What the theatre critics say...
