The area around Little Venice (along the Grand Union Canal between Blomfield Road, Warwick Avenue and Warwick Crescent) will be teeming with about 130 colourful craft of all shapes and sizes, decorated with bunting and streamers for the annual pageant.

There'll be everything from historic old boats and residential narrowboats, to working cruisers and widebeams.

There will also be lots of live music, arts and crafts stalls, kids activities like face painting, a real ale bar, and some popular British traditions like Morris dancing.

Illuminated procession of boats on Sunday night

The highlight of the weekend will be on Sunday night (9 PM), when a Master of Ceremonies will precide over a Procession of Illuminated Boats.

The owners cover their boats (and themselves!) with as many decorations as they can possibly find, from Christmas lights and disco lights to glitter balls and smoke machines, and then head up the canal past banks lined with people.

We also recommend… If you enjoy Little Venice then you might like to visit Jason’s Trip (you can walk there in less than 1 min)
